D’ambrosia by Profumum Roma. The first light of morning brushes the cobblestones of the Appia Antica. It’s a Roman dawn, still soaked in night. A silent villa, embraced by pines and cypresses. Half-closed shutters let in the warm air, fragrant with wood, wine, and laughter long faded. Inside, a large wooden table dominates the room. Dark and timeworn, it has absorbed the scent of the night. On the table, the beauty of disorder. Figs split in half, left there, like a laugh and a toast. Pears cut slowly, their skins still damp, the flesh beginning to brown. The table bears the marks of the night: red wine glasses, crumbs, scattered almonds, forgotten. Silent witnesses to whispered conversations, to laughter lost in the dark. Everything is still. And yet, everything vibrates. The air is heavy with a fragrance that carries no weight, not intrusive. It brushes against your skin. And in that touch, it awakens you.
