Floral fragrances

Perhaps the most recognizable register in artisan perfumery, and at the same time the most misunderstood. A floral can be born from a single flower or an entire bouquet, where rose, jasmine, iris and ylang ylang blend into something more abstract than a flower. And because those molecules are faceted and never flat, well-built florals have shadows and depth. They’re never just sweet, nor just gentle: they seduce without declaring themselves. That’s where their power comes from.
